    Kan tot nieuwe opdrachten leiden.
    Jammer inderdaad, zoals ik geloof de heer IQ ook al zei, dat ze niet veel ontvangen opdrachten vermelden, die moeten er in deze tijd gewoon in flinke bedragen binnenkomen. Blijkt ook uit de stijgende orderportefeuille bij de resultaten van 31-12-21. Dat is bijv. bij de BAM wel even anders, die publiceren de een na de andere order. Werkt enorm koers-stimulerend en misschien ook wel een reclame-uithangbord naar derden toe. Al kan BAM dat dan misschien weer wat harder nodig hebben dan de Fugro.

    Ze mogen vaak niet publiceren in opdracht van de opdrachtgever gas/olie industrie kijk de berichten van nr 36 maar na.

    Vattenfall werkt aan windmolen die ook waterstof produceert
    ABERDEEN (AFN) - Vattenfall bouwt voor de kust van Schotland naar eigen zeggen ’s werelds eerste waterstof producerende windturbine op zee. Daarvoor wordt op een bestaande molen een zogeheten electrolyser geplaatst waarmee water gesplitst kan worden in zuurstof en waterstof. De waterstof wordt dan met een pijpleiding naar land vervoerd.

    Volgens het Zweedse energieconcern gaat het om een proefproject dat mogelijk is gemaakt dankzij een miljoenenbijdrage van de Britse overheid. Het is de bedoeling dat zo straks elke dag voldoende waterstof gemaakt kan worden waarmee een waterstofbus 24.000 kilometer zou kunnen rijden.

    "Het project zal onderzoeken hoe fossielvrije waterstof veilig en tegen lage kosten kan worden geproduceerd om zo de weg naar grootschalige uitrol en commerciële productie te versnellen", legt projectmanager Wiljan Harder van Vattenfall uit. De werkzaamheden gaan per direct van start om de eerste productie in 2025 te kunnen leveren.

    Waterstof wordt gezien als een alternatief voor het gebruik van olie en aardgas en gaat waarschijnlijk een belangrijke rol spelen bij het verduurzamen van de industrie. Het is daarnaast bekend dat de haven van Rotterdam een belangrijk knooppunt wil worden voor de aanvoer en verspreiding van waterstof in Europa.

    Fugro Mercator to survey Statkraft’s Irish offshore wind site

    Fugro is set to kick off a geophysical survey campaign at the North Irish Sea Array (NISA) offshore wind project at the end of May.

    The 42-meter long survey vessel Fugro Mercator is expected to carry out the operations between 27 May and 30 June, weather permitting, at the site located off the coast of North County Dublin, Meath, and Louth.

    The survey will utilize multibeam echo sounders, sub-bottom profilers, side-scan sonar, and magnetometer, both hull-mounted and towed.

    Typically, the towed cable lengths will be about four times the water depth while acquiring survey data.

    Work will be conducted during 24hr operations.

    NISA is one of the seven projects the Irish government designated as relevant to be fast-tracked through the then new marine planning regime.

    Statkraft secured a foreshore license for site investigation at the project from the Irish government at the end of 2021.

    Two months ago, Irish Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan TD, invited applications from the first batch of offshore wind projects, including NISA, for Maritime Area Consents (MACs).

    The project will comprise between 30 to 36 turbines that will deliver around 530 MW of capacity. Construction is expected to begin in 2024, with commissioning planned for 2026.

    Hydrogen Turbine Project Secures UK Government Funding

    Vattenfall has been awarded GBP 9.3 million in innovation funding from the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio Low Carbon Hydrogen Supply 2 fund by the UK government for the Hydrogen Turbine 1 (HT1) project offshore Aberdeen, Scotland.

    The funding will be used to develop the world’s first hydrogen-producing offshore wind turbine, with the electrolyzer sited directly onto an existing operational turbine, Vattenfall said.

    The pilot project at Vattenfall’s 97 MW Aberdeen offshore wind farm, also known as the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC), will have an output of 8 MW and will be able to produce enough hydrogen every day to power a hydrogen bus to travel 24,000 kilometers. The hydrogen will be piped to shore at Aberdeen Harbor.

    ”We are very happy with the Government funding. Placing hydrogen electrolyzers on offshore wind turbines is likely to be the quickest and cheapest way of providing fossil-free hydrogen at scale,” said Danielle Lane, UK Country Manager for Vattenfall.

    HT1 aims to be the first in the world to test the full integration of hydrogen production with an offshore wind turbine. The project will also map out development and consent processes for large-scale hydrogen projects co-located with offshore wind farms to speed up future development, Vattenfall said.

    HT1 consists of hydrogen production equipment including desalination, electrolysis, and associated balance-of-plant closely integrated with the turbine power electronics, physically coupled with the turbine, on an extended platform which will encircle the base of the turbine.

    Turbine power will be dedicated to hydrogen production, and the electrolyser is expected to operate without requiring energy supply from the national grid.

    The hydrogen will be transported to shore via pipeline for processing and delivery to end-users.

    To accelerate demonstration of the pilot and maximise cost efficiencies, Vattenfall will aim to commence operation by early 2025.

    Back in December 2021, Vattenfall awarded Fugro with a contract to carry out a geoscience survey and subsequent data processing and reporting for a proposed hydrogen pipeline route connecting the wind farm to the Aberdeen Port.

    The developer has since also submitted applications for pipeline route surveys with Marine Scotland, and for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening Opinion Request accompanied by a report.
