    Analyse SDE++ 2022: de details van de 10 grootste projecten met zonnepanelenDe subsidieronde van de SDE++ in 2022 heeft 1.913 megawattpiek en 1.505 beschikkingen aan zonnestroomprojecten opgeleverd. Maar wat zijn nu de grootste projecten? Solar Magazine zet het op een rij.

    Het aantal kleine projecten is net als in voorgaande subsidierondes groot. Uit onderstaand overzicht blijkt dat 85 procent van de beschikte pv-projecten een vermogen van minder dan 1 megawattpiek kent.

    In onderstaand overzicht is per project het aantal megawattpiek vermeld (red. het gaat om de 10 grootste projecten, deze kennen per stuk een omvang van 25 megawattpiek of meer*) waarvoor door de subsidieaanvragers voor 15 jaar subsidie is verkregen.

    Het grootste dakgebonden pv-systeem dat via de SDE++ 2022 een beschikking heeft ontvangen, is 18,5 megawattpiek groot. De subsidie is aangevraagd door Zonnestroom Nederland voor een distributiecomplex van DSV Logistics aan de Marconiweg in Tholen, maar heeft geen plekje in de top 10 weten te bemachtigen.

    Woudbloem | Slochteren (Groningen) | 64,8 megawattpiek
    LC Energy kreeg vorig jaar januari groen licht van de provincie Groningen voor de ontwikkeling van Zonnepark Woudbloem. De grootste zonneweide van deze subsidieronde komt te liggen in Midden-Groningen, nabij natuurgebied Woudbloem, ten zuidwesten van Slochteren. 70 procent van het terrein van ruim 42 hectare wordt gebruikt voor de aanleg van zonnepanelen en daarnaast wordt ruim 12 hectare nieuwe natuur gecreëerd. Het gaat daarbij onder meer om natuurvriendelijke oevers, sloten die een vestigingsplek worden voor de krabbenscheer en daarmee voor de libellensoort groene glazenmaker, die voor zijn voortbestaan afhankelijk is van deze waterplant. Deze zeldzame, beschermde libellensoort zet haar eieren alleen af op krabbenscheerplanten. In de zuidwesthoek van het plangebied is ruimte om een grote, diepe poel aan te leggen. Het zand wordt gebruikt om een oeverzwaluwwand aan te leggen. Oeverzwaluwen gebruiken natuurlijke steile oevers langs rivieren en open wateren om daar in holen in te broeden.

    Zonnepark Budel Dorplein II | Budel Dorplein (Noord-Brabant) | 58,0 megawattpiek
    Zonneweide Nyrstar II wordt het tweede zonnepark op het terrein van zinkfabrikant Nyrstar in Budel waarmee het huidige zonnepark in capaciteit wordt verdubbeld. Zonnepark Nyrstar Budel I is geplaatst op een oude vuilstort met afval uit de zink-industrie en wordt nu uitgebreid met zonneweide Nyrstar II. Deze wordt gerealiseerd door Statkraft en beslaat 46,6 hectare en telt 105.000 zonnepanelen. De uitbreiding vindt plaats aan de oost- en noordzijde van de Nyrstar-fabriek.

    Zonnepark Boxmeer | Boxmeer (Noord-Brabant) | 57,5 megawattpiek
    Zonnepark Boxmeer is een initiatief van diverse grondeigenaren die de handen ineen hebben geslagen met renewable factory. Het zonnepark, bestaande uit 2 velden langs de A73 ten noorden van Overloon en ten westen van Vierlingsbeek, wordt nog dit jaar opgeleverd. Het noordelijke veld ligt ten westen van de A73 aan de Kevelaersedijk en is circa 8,4 hectare. Het zuidelijke veld ligt ten oosten van de A73 en ten noorden van de Overloonseweg en wordt begrenst door de Oeffeltse Raam en is circa 26,6 hectare. Zonnepark Boxmeer wordt aangesloten op de gereserveerde capaciteit op het hoogspanningsstation in Venray gaat voldoende stroom opwekken voor ongeveer 18.000 huishoudens binnen de gemeente Boxmeer.

    Zonnepark The Dutch | West-Betuwe (Gelderland) | 50,0 megawattpiek
    Vervuilde grond zorgde ervoor dat golfbaan The Dutch de beoogde uitbreiding van zijn complex een halt toegeroepen zag worden. Waar nieuwe golfbanen zouden moeten komen, komt nu om die reden tijdelijk een zonnepark te staan. Het plangebied voor Zonnepark The Dutch maakt onderdeel uit van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Zonnepark The Dutch maakt daarbij onderdeel uit van de zogenoemde ‘veilige zijde’ achter de waterlinie. Voor de ontwikkeling en realisatie van de zonneweide zijn de handen ineengeslagen met Dutch Sustainable Brands.

    Zonnepark A59 | Oosterhout (Noord-Brabant) | 49,0 megawattpiek
    Het Energiepark A59 is een gezamenlijk initiatief van de gemeente Oosterhout en Eneco. De vergunning van het zonnepark is voor de gemeente in het afgelopen jaar een heet hangijzer gebleken, omdat de Rechtbank Zeeland West-Brabant na het beroep van Milieuvereniging Oosterhout de verleende vergunning voor het zonnepark A59 vernietigde. Volgens de rechter was het besluit niet rechtmatig omdat de locatiekeuze niet goed is onderbouwd. De rechter heeft gevraagd om een herstelbesluit van het gemeentecollege met een betere onderbouwing van de locatiekeuze. Naast het zonnepark in de Oranjepolder, behelst Energiepark A59 ook 10 megawatt aan windmolens.

    PERSBERICHT: FuturaSun wordt fabrikant van fotovoltaïsche cellen (ook bekend als zonnecellen) en onthult een industriële hub van 10 GW

    De Italiaanse producent van hoogrendement fotovoltaïsche modules (ook bekend als zonnemodules of zonnepanelen) heeft een strategische overeenkomst getekend met de lokale overheid van de stad Huai'an (Jiangsu) voor de bouw van zijn eigen zonnecelfabriek

    PADUA, Italië, May 17, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Opnieuw een zeer belangrijke mijlpaal voor FuturaSun bij de verticale integratie van zijn fotovoltaïsche toeleveringsketen: na de ondertekeningsceremonie op 10 mei in Huai'an behoort het bedrijf nu tot de wereldwijde top van fabrikanten van fotovoltaïsche cellen.

    Het project omvat de bouw van een gigafabriek van 266.000 vierkante meter. De investering bedraagt aanvankelijk 150 miljoen euro en zal in twee fasen worden uitgevoerd. In een tijdsbestek van 3 jaar, nadat het project is afgerond en operationeel is, zal de fabriek een jaarlijkse productiecapaciteit van 10 GW aan geavanceerde N-type TOPCon-zonnecellen hebben.

    Het productieproces gaat in het voorjaar van 2024 van start en zal in hoge mate geautomatiseerd zijn. De resulterende zonnecellen zullen een integraal onderdeel worden van de modules van FuturaSun, die zowel de Italiaanse als de Chinese gigafabrieken bedienen. Verticale integratie zal zorgen voor een nog grotere kwaliteitsborging, een verbeterde leveringsautonomie en een groter vermogen om toekomstige technologische ontwikkelingen aan te pakken.

    Danish renewables developer European Energy A/S has secured a building permit from the authorities in Sicily for what it says will become the biggest solar farm in Italy – a 250-MW project near Catania.

    The company will be building the solar power plant in the municipality of Vizzini with a strong focus on sustainability. For instance, it intends to implement a comprehensive reforestation and biodiversity programme that covers 200 hectares of land and is evaluating solutions such as agrivoltaic systems.

    Upon completion, the 250-MW solar park will be producing enough electricity to supply some 130,000 homes.

    Alessandro Migliorini, Country Manager of European Energy Italia, stated that the company will continue to invest in Italian renewables, mainly wind and solar. It has already built a number of solar farms in the country, including the 130-MW Troia-project in the Apulia region.

    Brazilian renewable energy firm Echoenergia Participacoes SA has commenced the construction works on the first phase of a 351.1-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) complex in Bahia state.

    The local government said on Thursday this initial phase consists of seven solar parks spread over an 800-hectare (1,976.8acres) area. Named Sertao Solar Barreiras, the PV complex is scheduled to start power generation in 2024.

    Once up and running, the facility will be able to produce enough clean electricity to meet the power demand of more than 540,000 local homes.

    In addition to Sertao Solar, Echoenergia has three wind parks currently under construction in the state, with a combined capacity of 68 MW.

    At present, Bahia has 47 PV plants in operation, representing 1.36 GW of capacity. The state government noted that other 372 farms are presently being built, generating BRL 51 billion (USD 10.3bn/EUR 9.5bn) in investments.

    Matrix Renewables energised its California-located Gaskell West 2 and 3 solar parks totalling 143 MW DC and completed the financing components for both projects.

    Madrid-based Matrix, established by TPG Inc (NASDAQ:TPG) via The Rise Fund, said last week that commercial operations at the two sites were achieved early in May. Construction was launched in April last year.

    Located in California’s Kern County, the Gaskell West 2 and 3 plans are coupled with 80 MWh of battery energy storage. Both plants are fully contracted, having in place five long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with utilities and cities in California. The combined annual output is expected to be enough to power about 16,800 California homes.

    After completing construction activities, Matrix has closed on tax equity deal with Bank of America for USD 106 million (EUR 98.6m) and secured USD 99 million in permanent financing, as well as an additional USD 25 million letter of credit facility provided by MUFG, HSBC, National Bank of Canada and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

    At present, Matrix Renewables has more than 7 GW of projects in its US pipeline.

    Spanish multi-energy group Repsol SA (BME:REP) said on Wednesday that its joint venture (JV) in Chile has commissioned the first phase of a 596-MW solar photovoltaic project in the region of Antofagasta, in the northern part of the country.

    A 76.8-MW portion of the Elena solar park project is online and feeding electricity into the grid. The project is owned by Repsol Ibereolica Renovables Chile, a 50/50 JV set up by Repsol and Spanish independent renewables firm Grupo Ibereolica Renovables to operate in the South American country.

    Elena is their first solar project to start operations, following a pair of wind farms.

    Once fully operating, the Elena solar farm will be capable of generating enough electricity to meet power consumption needs of more than 554,000 Chilean households, Repsol said.

    Earlier this year, Repsol Ibereolica Renovables Chile commissioned the 165.3-MW Atacama wind farm. Their first project was the 192.5-MW Cabo Leones III wind farm, which started commercial operation in December 2020.

    At present, the JV partners have a portfolio with around 1,800 MW worth of renewable energy assets in operation, construction or advanced stages of development. Some of the new projects are expected to come online before 2026, Repsol said.

    There is potential to expand to portfolio to over 2,600 MW in 2030, the company added.

    Groene sprong voorwaarts: energieverbruik uit zonnepanelen met bijna de helft omhoog

    Een steeds groter deel van Nederland draait op duurzame energie. Zeker zonnestroom is ‘hot’, blijkt uit cijfers die het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek vrijdag publiceert. Zonnepanelen leverden vorig jaar de helft méér stroom dan in 2021. CBS-expert Cor Pierik spreekt van een ‘spectaculaire toename’.

    Als de groei van duurzame energie de komende jaren in hetzelfde tempo doorzet, haalt Nederland de groene EU-doelen van 2030 met de hakken over de sloot. Brussel schrijft voor dat aan het eind van dit decennium 27 procent van het totale energieverbruik duurzaam is. Nederland kwam vorig jaar uit op 15 procent, en zit daarmee bepaald niet in de kopgroep. Maar de stijging ten opzichte van 2021 - toen stond het groene energieverbruik nog op 13 procent - is ‘best wel fors’, aldus Pierik.

    Zonne-energie
    Bijna 17 miljoen megawattuur aan energie kwam vorig jaar voor rekening van de zon, een stijging van bijna 50 procent ten opzichte van 2021. Windmolens blazen met dik 21 miljoen megawattuur ook een behoorlijk partijtje mee, maar de stijging is daar minder groot - mede doordat er vorig jaar weinig nieuwe windparken op zee zijn geopend, legt Pierik uit.

    Zonnestroom deed het vorig jaar goed omdat het ontzettend lekker weer was: het afgelopen jaar telde volgens het KNMI een kleine 500 zonuren méér dan gemiddeld, en was het zonnigste jaar sinds de start van de metingen. Tegelijkertijd leggen Nederlanders hun daken ook vol met panelen. Alleen al in de eerste helft van 2022 - nieuwere cijfers heeft het CBS nog niet - groeide het vermogen van alle zonnepanelen op woningen met een dikke 14 procent.

    Salderingsregeling
    Die trend wordt aangejaagd door subsidies en salderingsregelingen. Domper voor wie nu pas aan zonnepanelen begint te denken: dat salderen - de mogelijkheid om opgewekte en verbruikte stroom met elkaar te verrekenen - wordt tussen 2025 en 2031 afgebouwd naar nul.

    Een andere belangrijke reden voor de groene sprong voorwaarts is dat Nederland het afgelopen jaar fors op energie heeft bespaard - gas werd immers duurder door de oorlog in Oekraïne. Zelfs al zou er in 2022 geen zonnepaneel of windmolen bij zijn gekomen, dan nog was het aandeel groene stroom dus gestegen.

    In a significant stride towards sustainable energy development, TotalEnergies has obtained a favorable Environmental Impact Assessment from the Spanish authorities for its expansive solar power projects in the country. The approved projects are expected to add an estimated 3 GW of installed capacity to Spain's renewable energy landscape.

    TotalEnergies plans to develop 48 power plants across various regions in Spain, including Madrid, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, and Aragon.     DEN HAAG - Parken met zonnepanelen worden de laatste tijd steeds vaker slachtoffer van koperdieven met enorme schade en kosten tot gevolg. De koperprijs staat op een hoog niveau wat diefstal interessant maakt. Holland Solar beaamt het toenemende aantal koperdiefstallen. „We horen het veel van onze leden. Het begint echt een probleem te worden”, stelt de brancheorganisatie voor bedrijven actief met zonne-energie.

    Onlangs werd op een zonnepark in het Brabantse Deurne liefst 100 kilometer aan koperkabel gestolen. De schade loopt in de tonnen en het park is buiten gebruik. Ook elders in het land zijn er grote diefstallen op parken geweest, waaronder in Drenthe en Friesland.

    Directeur Olof van der Gaag van de Nederlandse Vereniging Duurzame Energie (NVDE) herkent het probleem. „Dat de koperprijs zo hoog is hangt ook samen met de energietransitie. Daar zijn namelijk veel nieuwe koperkabels voor nodig, wel duizenden kilometers. Helaas zien we dat sommige mensen daar illegaal een handeltje van proberen te maken. Maar hoe je het probleem oplost is de vraag.”

    Cijfers
    Holland Solar beschikt niet over concrete cijfers over de diefstallen. De politie zegt geen aparte cijfers te hebben over koperdiefstal en kan niet zeggen of er extra gecontroleerd wordt bij zonneparken. Het Verbond van Verzekeraars beschikt eveneens niet over cijfers rond schadeclaims.

    Energiebedrijf Eneco is tot dusver de dans ontsprongen, aldus een woordvoerder. „Het is nog niet gebeurd op onze zonneparken. Dieven lijken er wel heel veel moeite voor te doen ondanks de risico’s. We zeggen niet welke beveiligingsmaatregelen we nemen.”

    Hoogspanningsnetbeheerder TenneT wordt wel geraakt door diefstallen. „Ja, ook bij ons wordt koper gestolen. Het staat op de radar, maar we geven geen informatie over maatregelen om dieven niet op ideeën te brengen.”

    Legitimatieplicht
    Directeur Hans Koning van de Metaalrecycling Federatie laat weten dat er een legitimatieplicht is voor mensen die koper willen inleveren voor geld. Ook is er een meldpunt voor diefstallen om recyclers te kunnen alarmeren voor gestolen koper. „Als er tientallen kilometers koperkabel zouden worden aangeboden, dan is dat iets waar alle alarmbellen voor af gaan. Een paar honderd meter is al heel veel en kan in principe alleen afkomstig zijn van bedrijven als TenneT en ProRail.”

    Koning stelt dat gestolen koperkabel meestal wordt verknipt en gestript en bij diverse bedrijven wordt aangeboden. „Ook over de grens. Dit maakt het wel lastiger of zelfs onmogelijk om te traceren en herkennen.”

    The primary objective of this ambitious four-year program is to make school buildings more sustainable, effectively reducing CO2 emissions and lowering the energy bills of approximately 800 Catholic education organizations. To facilitate the implementation of this initiative, SeGEC and Belfius Bank have enlisted expert consultancy offices to draft specifications for a framework contract encompassing all schools in Wallonia and Brussels. Furthermore, they are developing a digital platform that will enable schools to simulate the optimal size of their solar panel installation, assess the financial impact of their investment, and place direct orders with the awarded supplier.

    To ensure a seamless execution of the installations, SeGEC will oversee the entire operation, managing the process from start to finish.     Repsol Ibereólica Renovables Chile, in collaboration with the Ibereólica Renovables Group, has achieved a significant milestone with the commencement of electricity production from the first phase of the Elena solar plant in Chile. The joint project, located in the town of María Elena in the Antofagasta Region, marks Repsol Ibereólica Renovables Chile's third successful venture, following the Cabo Leones III and Atacama wind farms.

    With an initial installed capacity of 76.8 MW, the Elena photovoltaic plant incorporates 142,275 bifacial photovoltaic solar modules. Once fully operational, this solar project will generate clean and renewable energy, supplying more than 554,000 households in Chile. Importantly, it will also contribute to a reduction of approximately 1.19 million tons of CO2 emissions, making a significant impact on the environment.

Utilizing a groundbreaking technology that captures concentrated sunlight, the plant aims to revolutionize the way we harness solar energy.

    Martin Bellmann, a Research Scientist at SINTEF, explains that the concept builds upon standard solar radiation technology but incorporates mirrors to concentrate sunlight onto ultra-efficient solar panels. The unique design allows the plant to rotate in the water, enabling the panels to track the sun and maximize sunlight absorption.

    One of the notable advantages of this floating solar power plant is its ability to capture and utilize the excess heat generated by the concentrated sunlight. Instead of losing the heat to the surrounding water, the plant employs a heat transfer fluid flowing through pipes connected to the solar panels, effectively retaining both the heat and electricity produced.

    To further enhance the heat generated by the solar energy plant, SINTEF is developing a heat pump that will be connected to the system. This integrated approach aims to demonstrate a solar-assisted carbon capture system, providing the thermal energy required for gas separation.

    In collaboration with the Norwegian company Svalin Solar, SINTEF plans to develop and upscale the floating solar power plant. Components are being procured, and construction of a pilot facility is scheduled for the upcoming summer. Initially, the plant will be tested on dry land as part of an existing carbon capture facility operated by SINTEF.

    The TRINEFLEX project, which encompasses the development of the floating solar power plant, aims to support the transition of European heavy industries toward greater sustainability. By integrating renewable energy and digitalization, the project aims to meet the substantial energy requirements of heavy industries, ultimately contributing to their sustainability goals.

    With 28 partners involved and a budget of EUR 19.3 million, the TRINEFLEX project represents a major collaborative effort to advance renewable energy integration and drive innovation in the industrial sector.

    IKEA-owned investor to buy stake in 1.1-GW of Spanish solar from Bruc

    Switzerland-based investor Interogo Holding, a non-furniture related business of the IKEA Group, has reached an agreement to acquire a 49% stake in a portfolio of 1,066 MW of solar power assets from Spanish renewables firm Bruc Energy, media in Spain reported on Wednesday.

    With this deal, Interogo will become a shareholder of Bruc, the reports say. IKEA’s cousin firm will be joining existing shareholders Canadian pension fund OPTrust, UK private pension fund Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and Spanish businessman Juan Bejar, who founded Bruc in 2015.

    It is unclear from the reports what Bruc's ownership structure will look like with Interogo on board.

    The enterprise value of the transaction has been set at EUR 1.2 billion (USD 1.3bn), Spanish business daily Expansion reported. The portfolio includes solar power plants in operation and under construction in Spain.

    The transaction is subject to certain regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, the media said.

    Bruc Energy manages a portfolio of 8,500 MW in Spain, according to Expansion. The company recently finalised the acquisition of some 1,101 MW ready-to-build solar projects in Spain from Spanish independent power producer Opdenergy Holding SA (BME:OPDE), which had handed over a total of 20 projects in that deal.

    AMSTERDAM - De opmars van zonnepanelen laat zich in Nederland voelen. Vorig jaar steeg de energieproductie uit zonnestroom met nog eens 46% ten opzichte van het jaar ervoor.

    „Dit komt vooral door het gebruik van nieuwe zonnepanelen”, zo meldt het CBS vrijdag. De energieproductie door zonnepanelen op woningen groeide in 2022 iets meer dan door zonnepanelen bij bedrijven.

    Het aandeel zonne-energie in het totale energieverbruik in Nederland is hiermee ook gestegen: van 2,1% in 2021 naar 3,3% in 2022.

    In 2022 zat Nederland met 16,8 miljard kWh, waarvan 60% afkomstig is van bedrijven, op hetzelfde niveau als Frankrijk. Ondanks dat Nederland een stuk kleiner is in oppervlak en inwonersaantal dan de meeste grote zonnestroomproducenten.

    Sinds 2019 is de capaciteit van zonnepanelen bij ondernemers groter dan die van woningen. ,,Vooral omdat er grote zonneparken bij zijn gekomen”, zo verklaart het CBS de groeispurt.

    Sterkte in Europa
    Verdeeld over gemeenten, nam dat vermogen met gemiddeld 30% toe ten opzichte van 2021. Dronten werd koploper met 161 megawatt. Het opgestelde vermogen van zonnepanelen op woningen groeide vorig jaar het snelst in Utrecht, Rotterdam en Tilburg.

    In drie jaar tijd is de stroomproductie verdrievoudigd in Nederland. Ons land had daarmee vorig jaar van alle Europese landen het hoogste opgestelde vermogen per hoofd van de bevolking (1044 W in 2022).

    De zon zou zich bij ons te weinig laten zien. Maar wat zonne-energie betreft, is Nederland een topland. In 2022 produceerden we met 17,7 miljard kilowattuur (kWh) zonnestroom bijna net zoveel als het vier keer grotere Frankrijk.

    „Hoe meer panelen, hoe vaker een negatieve stroomprijs en hoe minder klimaatwinst”, aldus energieconsultant Michiel Mensink.

    Per hoofd van de bevolking voert Nederland de lijst aan in Europa: nergens is het opgestelde vermogen per hoofd van de bevolking (1 kW in 2022) hoger dan in ons land. De zonne-energieboom is aangejaagd met royale subsidies en kreeg zijn beslag in luttele jaren tijd: in 2019 telde het CBS nog maar 5,4 miljard kWh.

    AMSTERDAM - De prijzen van zonnepanelen koelen in hoog tempo af. De inkoopkosten zijn gezakt tot het niveau van voor de Russische inval in Oekraïne. Opslagplaatsen lopen vol met nieuwe voorraad, deels door robots geproduceerd. Ook in Nederland.

    In China zijn de tarieven voor de standaard modellen zonnepanelen vorige week met nog eens 12% gedaald, de sterkste daling ooit, en de vierde week op rij met krimp. Dit is het laagste niveau ooit bereikt, aldus analist Andy Blumenfeld van consultant Opis, een onderdeel van dataleverancier Dow Jones.
