Of scroll even terug, Tampi heeft paar mooie stukken geschreven.

Even kort in Jip & Janneke taal, Bitcoin is een decentrale digitale munt.

New Goalposts Set For Bitcoin, $7,500 by Year End Much Wow In late July, an audacious figure of $5,000 per Bitcoin was predicted by stock researcher Ronnie Moas for the year end. However, the recent rally has seen Moas shift that figure by a full $2,500 to $7,500 as predictors try and keep up. With this prediction, Moas is also expecting the market value of all digital currencies to jump from around $140 bln to $2 tln, with Bitcoin being the main influencer in that. The floodgates are open Moas is a staunch supporter of digital currencies, with 100 percent of all his investments now in Bitcoin, as well as other altcoins. "What's happening is the floodgates are opening," Moas, founder of Standpoint Research, told CNBC on Monday. "I believe there are hedge funds and very deep-pocketed individuals going into this now, really hundreds of millions of dollars." Moas has been giving advice on Bitcoin with a bold statement coming at the end of July when his prediction sat at $5,000. Since the recent rise, which has seen Bitcoin break new records almost daily, Moas predicts $7,500 by next year and $50,000 in 2027 — representing a 28 percent annual compounded growth rate. Mainstream growth Moas, who has been involved in successfully picking mainstream stocks with aplomb, puts this rise and potential to keep rising to a number of factors, including digital currencies breaking into mainstream investing. Moas sees digital currencies becoming part of strategic reserves and asset allocation models in the near future as institutional investor interest grows. Troubles in foreign lands can also help grow the coin as trust in national currencies fails, such as in Venezuela. "You can't look at this as a normal situation," he said. "We're in an industry that will probably go from $140 bln to $2 tln and the Bitcoin price will probably move with that." Money where his mouth is Moas is a respected voice in the bridge between traditional trading and investing to cryptocurrency investing as the stock picker proudly states that 100 percent of his assets are digital. He never previously invested in stocks he picked. "Any way that I look at these numbers, my forecasts are looking conservative. It looks to me as though we are at the same point in the adoption curve as we were in 1995 when we went from one mln Internet users to 10 mln. The following year the Netscape browser came online and we went from 10 mln users to hundreds of millions of users overnight,” Moas added.
Gold Investors VanEck Slams Bitcoin While Also Joining Hype Ruckus In a confusing move, Money management firm VanEck, who are leaders in gold-related investment funds, slammed Bitcoin as a fad while simultaneously filing for an exchange-traded fund to invest in Bitcoin derivatives. It seems that firms such as VanEck can no longer hide from digital currencies, despite their feelings towards it as the high-risk opportunity is too big to miss. No contest with gold As a firm heavily linked to gold, VanEck had questions to answer about the so-called digital gold with Joe Foster, portfolio manager and strategist for VanEck's flagship International Investors Gold Fund (INIVX), saying that Bitcoin will never replace gold as a safe haven asset. "Bitcoin and other digital currencies are a fad that has attracted the attention of programmers, speculators and early adopters," Foster said. "It is my opinion that governments will not allow digital currencies to reach the critical mass needed to challenge the utility of fiat currencies such as the dollar.” "At best, digital currencies may eventually occupy some middle ground as a niche product," he said. "At worst, they become a failed experiment that ends in tears." The very next day… After stating this, VanEck filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a VanEck Vectors Bitcoin Strategy exchange-traded fund that would initially invest in Bitcoin futures contracts and trade on the Nasdaq. Essentially, the fund and its performance is determined by the price movement of Bitcoin and thus affected by the volatility and rate change in the digital currency. It will be an actively managed ETF that seeks to "provide total return." Fear of missing out It seems that VanEck is still a firm believer in gold, and perhaps a little worried about the effect of a new digital gold on its primary asset. But they are not foolhardy enough to ignore the investment potential of Bitcoin. "Joe Foster makes a great case for gold relative to Bitcoin as a currency and store of value," VanEck told CNBC. "VanEck believes that the technology underlying digital assets, known as distributed ledger technology, has tremendous potential to revolutionize finance and trade. Digital assets are an investable asset class in their own right and continue to be integrated into the broader economy."
After Bitcoin, Swiss Bank Becomes First To Offer Bitcoin Cash, Altcoins Swiss financial institution Falcon Private Bank has become the country’s first financial institution to add Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin to its offering. In a press release issued today, Zurich-based Falcon, which made headlines last month with its introduction of Bitcoin tools for clients, said the move “proves [its] agility and underlines its strategic repositioning” on the market. Arthur Vayloyan, global head of products and services, commented: “The first reactions to our Bitcoin services have been very encouraging and we are convinced that by adding three new Blockchain assets we will fulfill our clients’ future needs.” The firm’s July decision to partner with Bitcoin Suisse AG to provide Blockchain asset management services caused a stir in the cryptocurrency media and beyond. At the same time, fellow institution Swissquote followed Falcon in announcing a similar move toward Bitcoin integration, describing itself as “the first online bank in Europe to offer Bitcoin investing.” The new digital currency offerings will launch Aug. 22, while further announcements from Switzerland continue to surface this week. Protonmail tweeted this weekend that it will soon add automated Bitcoin payments to its secure email offering, while newcomer Ambrosus also unveiled a partnership to track the quality of pharmaceuticals using Blockchain technology. Ambrosus is part of the country’s Crypto Valley Association, a group of Blockchain heavyweights headquartered with the town of Zug.

Mogelijk Turkije of Noord-Korea.
