    (ABM FN) IBA heeft een contract met het Connecticut Proton Therapy Center getekend voor de installatie van een ProteusONE protontherapiesysteem. Dit maakte het bedrijf donderdagochtend bekend.

    Het Connecticut Proton Therapy Center is een samenwerking tussen Yale New Haven Health, Hartford HealthCare en Proton International.

    In het contract is een meerjarige exploitatie- en onderhoudsovereenkomst opgenomen.

    De verwachting is dat het centrum in het voorjaar van 2026 zal starten met het behandelen van patiënten.

    De eerste aanbetaling is inmiddels al ontvangen.

    De typische eindgebruikersprijs voor een ProteusONE-systeem met een meerjarig onderhoudscontract ligt tussen de 40 en 50 miljoen dollar, aldus IBA.

    De koers stijgt meestal wanneer er nieuws is over een nieuw contract.
    Niet vergeten dat de inkomsten van een nieuw contract later komen en gespreid zijn in fasen (dit kan 2 jaar duren). Wanneer een nieuwe cyclotron nadien geleverd worden, komen er inkomsten van het onderhoud.
    Dit is steeds belangrijk in de communicatie naar de markt: het aantal centra in aanbouw en het aantal centra dat afgewerkt zijn en inkomsten opleveren.
    Q1 2024 update is gepland op 23 mei.

    (ABM FN) IBA heeft in het eerste kwartaal goede prestaties gezien in alle segmenten van het bedrijf. Dit maakte IBA donderdagochtend bekend.

    IBA verwacht dat de tweede helft van het jaar, net als in voorgaande jaren, bepalend zal zijn voor de jaarresultaten. Concrete verwachtingen voor 2024 werden opnieuw niet uitgesproken.

    De outlook voor de resultaten op middellange termijn werd wel gehandhaafd voor de omzet, de groei en de investeringen. Zo rekent het bedrijf op een samengestelde omzetgroei tussen 2022 en 2026 van 15 procent per jaar.

    De orderintake werd aangejaagd door aanhoudende groei bij Other Accelerators. Ook voor deze divisie wordt een sterke tweede jaarhelft verwacht.

    Het orderboek bleef op een hoog niveau van 1,4 miljard euro. Op 31 maart bedroeg de kaspositie 30,1 miljoen euro.

    Group Overview

    Good Group order intake at end of March, driven by continued growth in Other Accelerators, with typical strong second half weighting expected
    Group backlog remains at a high of EUR 1.4 billion
    EUR 30.1 million net cash position, decreasing as a result of a planned procurement of inventory, related to backlog conversion and among others the ten-room Proteus®ONE1 contract in Spain
    B Corp certification renewed with a significantly improved score of 114 points (2021: 90 points), placing the Group among the top 10% of those certified globally
    Olivier Legrain, Chief Executive Officer of IBA commented: “IBA has had a solid start to the year with a core focus on backlog execution and unlocking future growth potential. We continue to invest for growth and to maintain our leading edge across all of our businesses. We do expect a typical second half weighting both in terms of backlog conversion and order intake, supported by the opportunities in our pipeline.”

    Two customer shipments were completed during the period in Europe and the US

    Eight Other Accelerators sold during the reporting period (Q1 2023: four machines sold) with two more post-period, including a Cyclone® IKON contract signed in Asia
    PanTera continues to progress plans for expansion of actinium-225 (225Ac) production with the construction of its early supply facility ongoing, plans for its commercial supply facility on track and new agreements signed with two additional pharmaceutical companies for early supply of 225Ac
    Outlook
    IBA has continued to deliver a solid performance over the first quarter across all business units. Alongside good overall order intake for the year to date, IBA is encouraged by its strong pipeline of active leads in all of its businesses. IBA expects 2024 performance to be strongly second half weighted as in previous years and reiterates its mid-term guidance detailed in its full-year 2023 results.
